From Rehabilitation to Reinvention: Forging a Path in Sober Living

Hey, I'm Erin!

I've spent decades rehabilitating both Humans and Machines; 9yrs as a Physical Therapist Assistant and 8yrs. as a tech working on Telemedicine Robots. I loved both those fields, but Real Estate was always a goal I wanted to transition to due to the following factors:

Real Estate allows you to build generational wealth

Is an appreciating asset & hedge against inflation

Provides exceptional tax benefits through depreciation & deductions

Generates passive (or semi-passive) income

The tech-layoffs in early 2023 provided the push I needed to jump into real estate full-time. I initially pursued a realtor's license but was soon drawn to the fast-paced world of real estate wholesaling and gained valuable experience in nation-wide property acquisition and market analysis.

After eight months, I felt a compelling need to re-focus my pursuits & goals. I also realized that constantly flipping homes & land, while lucrative, did not build a portfolio of properties. Recognizing the critical need for quality sober living environments and the cash-flow they can generate, I decided to leverage my skills, and experience, to establish a supportive community for individuals in recovery (translation: I opened a sober living home)... and started building that portfolio!

In March 2024, I acquired my first property and took a few months to build it out. By July, we welcomed our first residents. We currently house eight residents, with plans to expand to fourteen in the coming months. We are actively seeking a second & third location to broaden our impact and increase cash-flow.

This journey has yielded invaluable operational insights and a nuanced understanding of the sober living landscape; all of which I share in $OBER LIVING $CHOOL. Through trial and error, I have honed operational strategies and identified best practices. Dissatisfied with the limitations of existing Sober Living CRM systems, I developed my own solution specifically tailored to the unique demands of this industry.
